It was a bit chilly last night, no? Amy Sacco probably rues the day she agreed to host the opening for a summery, romantic label at the beginning of a very chilly April. Or maybe Amy knew, deep down, that the very act of dressing in a candy-colored Miguelina frock and drinking one of her famous martinis would be enough to convince any reasonable person that it is, indeed, summer—if only for a moment. More than a few of the fashionistas fell under Amy's spell, and convinced themselves it was warm enough to step outside for a smoke in their floaty dresses. Wearing styles more befitting August in Sagaponack than April in the Village, it was clear that Miguelina had succeeded in bringing some of the heat from her native Dominican Republic to Bleecker Street. And once the weather decides to warm, the rest of us can play along.
