Kate Moss/Topshop Collection At Barneys A Total Joke: Pt 2
Take a good, long look at this display because the clothes on those mannequins were the only Kate Moss for Topshop offerings available at the Barneys Co-op in Chelsea. That's right, out of the whole collection, the store had tank tops (white, black, green and pink; $24 a pop), skinny jeans ($106), black cropped jackets with raw-edged hems ($165) and one "dress" which looked more like a shirt (price NA since they were all grabbed up immediately). Not exactly cheap chic. The clothes were arranged on one small rack and a table, pictured below.
The tank top was low cut and not super flattering. The material was nice though; it felt almost silky. But, come on, $24?
A button popped off immediately. That's great craftsmanship for $165. This was cut ridiculously small.
The rack after everyone had a go at it. Shoppers were pissed about the selection and being led to believe that the whole collection would be offered. Still, most ended up buying at least one thing, though the store was not picked clean.
