Today, WWD confirms what we had guessed yesterday about Girlshop.com. The trailblazing online retailer, who had shut down over a month ago, has sold off its remaining assets to former competitor Net-a-porter. From WWD, "It's not quite over for Girlshop, the Internet pioneer. Net-a-porter said Thursday that it had acquired the company's trademarks, domain name and customer database. The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, adds approximately 100,000 shoppers to Net-a-porter's e-mail list."
