Marc Jacobs "Destroying Quality Of Life" In WVill
Tuesday, September 25, 2007, by Leslie Price

2007_09_marcjacobsmen.jpgWest Villagers are not happy with the goings on behind Marc Jacobs' newest Bleecker Street shop. The alley behind Jacobs' Marc by Marc menswear store at 382 Bleecker is apparently being used as a drop-off and pick-up center for the retailer. The Villager speaks with locals who are concerned about noise levels and safety: "'They scream, they shout, they bang the metal door constantly'” said Patricia Avallone, a longtime resident at 96 Perry St. 'I think something has happened here that should not have happened.'" Since the activity is technically legal, there's not much that locals can do—though one nearby resident has filed a noise complaint. Maybe some sort of neighborhood discount would improve relations.

Oh well. The guy that's celebrated for turning your neighborhood in to a mall thereby increasing your prop value is making noise. Why didn't you protest the opening of a THIRD store to begin with? Put up, shut up, or sell. You can't have it both ways.
