Today DNR confirms that jeans giant Diesel will be opening a flagship in the former Gucci space at 685 Fifth Avenue and 54th Street. Rumors about the Diesel's interest in the storefront surfaced back in January, and now, it's a go. The 19,555-square-foot emporium "will offer men’s and women’s Diesel collections, including its new high-end range, called Diesel Black Gold, which debuts in stores this fall. Additionally, there will be a focus on ancillary categories including intimates, fragrances, eyewear, timepieces and accessories." [DNR]
