Here we have Aloha Rag, the latest addition to Hudson Square's (non-existent?) retail scene. The boutique, which opened on Saturday at 505 Greenwich Street, is the company's first New York City location; they also have a store in Hawaii, which explains the name. As you can see, the interior of the place is a stark, white rectangular showcase for racks of amazing clothing and a small assortment of well-edited accessories. AR is stocked with high-end brands you don't find in too many other boutiques, so if you're on the prowl for Juicy Couture or Seven for All Mankind, head elsewhere. Among the women's selections, we spotted a fantastic pair of aggressively studded Thomas Wylde boots, a few light Commuun cotton cardigans and super-preppy tanks and skirts from Kitsuné; for men, there's an ample selection of charming 3.1 Phillip Lim sweaters and pants and fun Common Projects high tops. Prices are kind of stratospheric, but that shouldn't be a surprise given the labels stocked here. For more on the store, head to their e-commerce site or click through to this rave from The Haute List.
