Last night, Meatpacking District boutique Jean Shop debuted a line of button-down shirts with Turnbull & Asser, a 122-year-old English company known for their made-to-measure clothing. The T&A long-sleeve button-down shirts arrive at Jean Shop white; the store then dyes them whatever color you'd prefer. The price for this type of customization: $280. Since the idea behind Jean Shop is to take Selvage denim and wash or distress it to the customer's specifications, working with tops seems a natural next step. The partnership goes both ways: Turnbull & Asser's 57th Street shop will also sell specially-design Jean Shop jeans.
