Gray news for a gray day: Though a few weeks ago real estate poobah Jed Walentas hinted at a summer opening for his project Trader Joe's Brooklyn on Court Street and Atlantic Avenue, progress on the grocery store seems permanently stalled. A Racked reader writes: "I walk by the Trader Joe’s on Atlantic Ave daily. This morning on the way back from the gym, I noticed a worker standing just outside and asked him if I could peek in (see above photo). It’s gorgeous in there! (Though still totally gutted). I asked when it would be open, to which he said “at least a couple months” and I also asked about the building next door, which I thought was connected in some way to Trader Joe’s, but the worker said he thought it was apartments. Go figure." Go figure indeed.
