Now Open: Frock Dresses Up Park Slope

For Brooklynites who like their vintage on the designer side, the arrival of LES boutique Frock in Park Slope is pretty exciting. The 400-square-foot shop, which specializes in pieces from the 60's, late 80's and early 90's, has racks filled with big names like Yves Saint-Laurent, Ungaro, Chanel, Norma Kamali and Isabel Toledo. As the store's name might suggest, the focus here is on dresses—everyday styles, cocktail types (priced in the low hundreds) and formal gowns. While it's too early to tell if Frock will catch on in Brooklyn, it is clear that the shop fills a void in the local retail scene—where else in the Slope can you buy a vintage Alaia party dress?
