Liveblogging the Shows: Charlotte Ronson

In an effort to make reading Racked as much like being in the tents as humanly possible, we'll be liveblogging the shows all week, from the suspense of waiting in line (will the seats be any good?) to the drama of the runway (will anyone stumble?) to the post-show euphoria. This time around: Girly designs from Charlotte Ronson.

Show location: The Promenade at Bryant Park
The skinny: Dark, semi-gothic neo-grunge, which is a change from Ronson's usual sunny California casual.
Celebs spotted: Oh, just a former child star named Lindsay Lohan, along with various famous members of the Ronson family: Sister Samantha, brother Mark, and mom Ann Dexter-Jones.
The takeaway: Beach Boys out; Pearl Jam in.

2:00pm: I'm in. Charlotte's two very pregnant best friends budged in front of me. Bitches! Just kidding. Fashion Week must be very hard on the pregnant.

2:05pm: Also budged in front of by Ann Dexter-Jones, which is also acceptable because she's Charlotte Ronson's MOM.

2:15pm: Samantha Ronson is DJing. Lilo is wearing a cream top with cut-out shoulders. Paps and audience taking tons of pics.

2:22pm: They're playing corny old country music. Sort of cute. I.E. songs like "Pistol Packing Mama."

2:36pm: It's starting! Very dark looks, almost gothic. Models look strung out. Lots of red lips, slicked back hair.

2:38pm: Now seeing some color. Olive green, though. Very un-Charlotte Ronson.

2:40pm: Black dresses with cut-outs, elbow-length gloves. Skirts with zippers all over them. Very, very Alexander Wang-inspired. WEIRD.

2:41pm: Music is old jazz. Nice one Sam.

2:42pm: Think I just saw the blouse that Lindsay was wearing coming down the runway on a model.

2:43pm: Now we've gone from goth to grunge. Lots of washed-out plaids.

2:44pm: More cutaways, and a bedazzled black jumper with an exposed zipper that's revealing some ano model's entire ribcage.

2:45pm: Lots of butt bows. And is that a corset over a floral dress. Zippers all over everything.

2:48pm: Just spotted Lynn Yaeger looking rapt in the front row.

2:50pm: And it's over! Charlotte comes out to bow in ripped jeans and a sweater with cutouts.
