Food trucks are the hottest thing right now on the L.A. food scene, but you know what's hotter? Models driving food trucks.
Misa Chien graduated from UCLA with double majors in global studies and French and now divides her time posing for ad campaigns (like Rob Dyrdek's DC campaign, out later this year) and appearing on the cover of magazines (like Time Out Hong Kong) as well as running her burgeoning food truck business Nom Nom Truck, which serves banh mi and other Asian-inspired sandwiches.
The Nom Nom Truck has become so popular that it recently landed a spot on a food truck reality television show competition, which will air later this year.
"I put my heart and soul into Nom Nom truck, and I'm just so happy that we have made so many of our customers in LA happy, and I still cannot believe how far we've come," Chien told Lo Bosworth (formerly of The Hills). "You definitely do not need an MBA to start a successful business, but you do need experience. I started 3 companies before Nom Nom Truck (and the majority of them not successful mind you!) but I am so glad I did - for experience is very important."
