Whoa. Remember earlier today when George Clooney and his girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis showed up at Giorgio Armani's spring 2011 collection show in Milan and the fashion world very nearly imploded in on itself? Well, a little birdy—okay, the publicist—just informed us that Canalis did not wear Armani to the Armani show. Instead, she chose to wear a Roberto Cavalli pants suit. What? OMG, yeah. Canalis did not, repeat, did not wear Armani to Armani. While there's no hard-and-fast rule about what celebrities have to wear to shows, it's an unspoken custom that when a celeb is invited to sit front-row at a designer's show, they will wear that designer's collection—especially in the case of a designer like Armani, who's a pillar of the Italian fashion industry. It's just polite. Will Canalis ever be invited back? Let's see what happens next season, shall we. [Racked Inbox]
