New website alert! Upstyler.co.uk just launched in the UK and we're hoping someone immediately co-opts this idea Stateside because it's, well, pretty frickin brilliant. Upstyler is an e-commerce site that mixes vintage and mainstream contemporary. Billing itself as "The UK’s one stop shop for mixing unique charity shop finds and one off vintage picks with the best ‘made to last’ pieces from the High Street," the site is a meticulous edit of stylish new current-season finds and the best of the nation's second-hand stores. The Telegraph explains:
The basic premise is that it is a shop window for second-hand (vintage if you like) clothes, cleverly styled alongside new stuff from high street stores and independent boutiques, so that it looks fresh and new and not remotely second-hand Rosie. You can buy the carefully selected charity shop find - an old pencil skirt, say, priced £40 - or you can buy the Alexander Wang lace shirt worn with it (£549 from mytheresa.com ).· Upstyler [Official Site]
