H&M has announced its new spring collaboration and it's—drumroll please—with Swedish Hasbeens, our favorite-ever clog company. Coming to stores April 20th, the Swedish Hasbeens x H&M collection will comprise three styles of wood-sole clogs inspired by traditional 1970s-era Swedish styles. There's a strappy wedge with three buckle straps, a heeled summer sandal with an ankle strap, and a peep-toe slip-on wedge topped in snake-effect leather. The shoes come in a variety of colors and will be handcrafted and made of environmentally-friendly materials.
"I love the genuine feeling you get from Hasbeens, from the wood and the leather, and also how they take something traditional and Swedish and make it contemporary and modern," says Ann-Sofie Johansson, who heads up H&M's design department. "These Hasbeens for H&M fit perfectly with the ’70s bohemian look that’s so important this coming season."
Swedish Hasbeens' main line regularly retail for upwards of $200 a pair—we spent the summer of 2010 living in our red Hasbeens mules which are cute, but really, $250?—so it's exciting to see this much-coveted clog brand branching out into more affordable territory. All shoes in the Swedish Hasbeens x H&M collection will be available in sizes 36-40 and will be priced between $59.95 and $69.95.
