A Racked tipster alerts to this interesting bit of fashion trivia. In the third-ever issue of Visionaire, which was published 20 years ago in 1991, the credits and acknowledgements list includes the name of one Hedi Slimane-Tortella, then a 23-year old who'd recently completed his education in political science and art history at the Ecole du Louvre and was pursuing a tailoring apprenticeship at a men's fashion house. Years before Slimane became The Hedi Slimane, before he relaunched YSL Rive Gauche Homme in the late-90s and later redefined the proportions of menswear at Dior Homme in the early 2000s, he was Hedi Slimane-Tortella.
