Joining the virtual shops of Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Martha Stewart and La La Anthony, the Council of Fashion Designers of America has launched a curated online boutique at OpenSky, the almost year-old e-commerce site that connects members to the shopping preferences of some 80 tastemakers. What does this mean? For starters, Openskyers can browse from a rotating accessory collection composed of various CFDA members' pieces—think DVF bags, House of Waris scarves, eyewear from Selima Boutique, chic cloches from Albertus Swanepoel, baubles from jewelry label Fallon—with many items offered at discounted prices or as OpenSky exclusives. This partnership is also a win-win for the CFDA, since the non-profit trade organization will be sharing in the sale profits—which means more money for CFDA scholarships and philanthropic programs like Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
