The standard high-low collab model basically goes like this: high-end designer partners with major retailer to create cheap things in the under $100 range, and mass hysteria ensues. Not so for the capsule Brit designer Mary Katrantzou did with TopShop. Dresses, trousers, and blouses in Katrantzou's signature wild prints are still priced in the hundreds of dollars (the piece we liked best, that mixed-print dress with a lampshade skirt up there on the right, went for $475), making it clear that this is one collaboration that isn't about cheap thrills. And that doesn't seem to have stopped shoppers from going crazy over it, either. Arriving online this morning, the collection is already nearly completely picked over.
Here's what's left right now:
· Printed Trousers, $260.00: Sizes 2 and 10 left
· Floral Leggings, $80: Sizes 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12
· Printed Scarf, $120
