Today we take you to the New York offices of MyHabit, Amazon's flash sale branch that features daily deals on some of our favorite designers. With access to all that fashion—and all those deals—the team has racked up quite an enviable wardrobe. Here's how they work it when they're working.
Maria Plitas, Head of Women’s Contemporary Apparel, Accessories & Beauty: My style is feminine minimalism.
Style advice: Less is definitely more. Most importantly, it’s always important that you feel comfortable about what you are wearing and you are expressing your personal style.
Maria is wearing BBDakota pants, a 3.1 Phillip Lim shirt, and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Karan Soni, Sr. Men’s Contemporary & Denim Buyer: My style is casual sartorial.
Style advice: Fit, comfort and color are key. A simple belt, good pair of shoes and some cuff links are essential accessories for men of all ages; they can help complete any look. My style icons: Rock Hudson and Ryan Gosling.
Karan is wearing rag & bone pants, a Prada belt, J.Crew shirt, Paul Smith blazer, and Prada loafers.
Linette Springhorn, Associate Production Manager: My style is flirty and feminine, but classic. I like to wear pieces that can easily transition from one season to the next, like a summer dress that I can easily pair with tights or put a sweater over, or pants that I can wear with a simple t-shirt or with a slouchy cashmere cowl. I’m also an extremely tactile person and only wear fabrics that are natural and soft to the touch, like silk and cotton. When it comes to jewelry, I always stick to simple and love geometric shapes.
Style advice: Everyone should own a few statement pieces with a real “wow” factor. This can be a skirt with a bright print, a bold necklace, a killer pair of shoes, or floral denim. Any one of these things worn separately can take an outfit to the next level. Also, when it comes to putting an outfit together, you should always be comfortable. Being stylish doesn’t have to mean wearing something that you can’t move around in. If you aren’t comfortable in what you’re wearing (especially your shoes!) if will affect your attitude the entire day. There’s nothing wrong with wearing a pair of converse with a cute skirt or jeans and an intricate top.
Linette is wearing a J.Crew top, Anthropologie skirt, Zara shoes, La Mer watch, a Karma Necklace from Dogeared Jewelry, and her grandmother’s wedding band.
Nicole Boucher, Digital Content Editor: I keep my closet filled with wear-forever basics, and then mix those up with statement accessories. I love me a good pair of Earnest Sewn jeans, black ballet flats, and a short skirt.
Nicole is wearing an Edun dress, SUNO x Loeffler Randall shoes; rings from Catbird and her husband, and an Urban Outfitters watch.
Style advice: Find your own style, and stay true to what works for you. And: When in doubt, err on the side of classic.
Virginia Wong, Women’s Accessory & Handbag Buyer: I’m a downtown girl but I grew up in Fairfield, CT; I think my style can be described as preppy but playful. I’m often in dresses and skirts because I like to feel polished, pulled together, but not fussy. My job requires me to be really organized, focused, on the go, but I’m always ready to giggle and I think my style reflects that.
Style advice: Excite yourself every day. Know your body and be aware of what makes you feel like the best version of you, and keep inventing. Nothing is worse than a girl who looks uncomfortable in her shoes.
Virginia is wearing a medallion silk dress by Tibi, Tory Burch shoes, a J.Crew Military Timex watch with camo band, vintage signet ring, crest signet ring she carved and casted herself, a charm necklace with an evil eye charm that was a gift from a friend.
