Even though Allana Maiden's Change.org petition, which asked Victoria's Secret to create a mastectomy bra for cancer survivors back in January, was basically a bundle of PR points tied with a bow and dropped in the massive lingerie company's lap, VS has refused to make it. The reasoning, per a Change.org press release, is below.
"Through our research, we have learned that fitting and selling mastectomy bras in the right way...a way that is beneficial to women is complicated and truly a science. As a result, we believe that the best way for us to make an impact for our customers is to continue funding cancer research."Instead they created workout push-ups for a sexy sweat session and increasingly bedazzled-yet-nearly-unwearable runway show things.
