Comedy writer Bonnie Datt once bought a chainmail vest "for clubbing"—a purchase she later came to lament, once she realized that chainmail wasn't particularly slimming. Inspired by this, she now spends her spare time asking famous people to dish about purchases which they initially loved—but ended up regretting, for Buyer's Remorse.

Costume designer Colleen Atwood has been nominated for ten Academy Awards and won three of them—for Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Alice in Wonderland. Despite creating some of contemporary film's greatest and most elaborate costumes, Atwood actually a bit of a luddite when it comes to technology. And that's what her Buyer's Remorse story is all about:
"I'm an electronic techno idiot. And I went to the Apple store because I was really excited about the iPad, and I bought an iPad—but I bought the wrong one. The one without WiFi. It's great, but it's not quite what I needed. By the time I got to work, I'd already gotten excited and downloaded stuff, so I couldn't return it. And all my young helpers were like, "Oh my God, I can't believe you bought that. You're not allowed to go out without us anymore!"
