Sam Edelman, a footwear division of the unlikely-named Brown Shoe Co., is dipping into the young contemporary apparel market with a women's clothing and accessories launch February 2014.
Wife of the company founder and namesake Libby Edelman told WWD that the line is intended for a 19 to 29-year-old "who's very aspirational, living on Instagram, Facebook and tweeting and likes to share what she's finding." She continued, "We're going to give her great fashion looks and items that speak to those aspirational ideas." Thank goodness. Now ladies everywhere will finally have something to wear on the internet. Look forward to trend-focused tops, sweaters, bottoms, dresses and jackets for between $100 and $200 at retail at department and specialty stores that offer the brand's footwear is sold, as well as Sam Edelman retail stores and samedelman.com.
