Opa-locka, a town located in the Miami-Dade county of Florida, has "tentatively passed" an ordinance that bans women from exposing underwear in public. It's actually an extension of the 2007 ordinance that focused on men wearing saggy pants, or rather who Commissioner Timothy Holmes felt was emulating hip hop style too closely. Because six-ish years of handing out $250 tickets to young, belt-less men got repetitive, maybe. Except now the fine is $500, or 25 hours of community service for both women and men.
Also, this isn't just a warning. 72 people have been given tickets for their pants hanging too low so far in 2013. The commission has already given initial approval of the bill, and it's set to be passed in December. Rein in your whale tails, ladies.
