UPDATE: The Fashion Spot has removed its photos on order from Target (a user violated the retailer's image embargo), and in a show of good faith we've pulled them as well. Hope you got a look while they were up! Meanwhile, here is an old photo of the collab that will have to satisfy until Target issues additional images.
Here is the first real look at what the London design duo behind Peter Pilotto dreamt up for their surprise collaboration with Target. These looks, in addition to that the previously-released shot from Elle, show a line that's completely print- and color-wild. As co-designer Christopher De Vos said to the magazine, "When you're in front of it, you feel the full energy of the pieces." Prices for the close to 70-item range will go from $16.99 (for bikini bottoms) to $29.99 (for swim tops, sneakers, sweatshirts and the like) to $79.99 for a strapless jacquard dress which is already shaping up to be one of the collection's iconic pieces.
When Lucky interviewed the designers, they said one of the most challenging aspects of the project was, "knowing the materials and fabrics would be different from what we would normally use for our high-end line." Both seem pleased with the result, lauding the swimwear especially. It will hit "most" Targets on February 9, 2014 and a selection of the line will retail on Net-A-Porter.
