The Glow is like Into the Gloss or The Selby, but instead of photos of models' medicine cabinets or tours of a surfer's bungalow in Venice Beach, the site features slideshow upon slideshow of incredibly stylish mothers posing with their children. The Glow mothers are the type of women who didn't buy maternity pants because their leather leggings "gave" just enough; the type of women whose personal Pilates trainers come to their Tribeca lofts so they have time to work out; the type of women who wear dresses from The Row while carrying around their newborns. You get the picture.
The site was started by two fashion industry vets, Violet Gaynor (now senior fashion editor at InStyle) and Kelly Stuart (photo director at Hearst), which explains why the majority of its subjects work in fashion fields. The book, which is available for pre-order at $29.95, hits shelves April 14 and promises, "a rare glimpse into the world of fashionable mothers at home." It's not a competition, but let's all acknowledge that these ladies have already won.
