Ballet, the exercise of choice for fashion people, has also fallen into favor with clothing brands looking to highlight the ease and comfort of their garments. The trend isn't limited to activewear: AG is using ballet to promote its super-strechy, jegging-like Contour 360 line of jeans. In a lovely, spare video, the brand outfits ballerinas in denim to prove just how much AG's exclusive new fabric can stretch.
Recently, Free People got into hot water when it featured non-professional dancers in one of its ads. AG didn't make the same mistake, casting the likes of Laura Hand of the Joffrey Ballet and Samantha Miller, who danced at Princeton. The Contour 360 line of jeans are available in three different fits and several washes, and retail for $198.
