Since news broke last week that Condé Nast was handing Lucky off to e-commerce site Beachmint, EIC Eva Chen has been in the spotlight more than ever. She sat down with Bloomberg TV this morning to discuss Lucky's recent merger, and it got a little awkward when the host mentioned Lucky's terrible September ad sales.
Chen defended Lucky by saying that all major magazines suffered a decline, but Bloomberg's host was quick to mention that Town & Country saw an increase. At that point, Chen quickly responded: "Good for Town & Country. It's a quite different magazine from what we are doing." She then pivoted to Lucky's increase in digital ad sales. It all goes down starting at 1:08.
