Brand management and web analytics company Curalate (owners of the Like2Buy phenomenon) did some digging through all of the Instagram activity during this New York Fashion Week, and came up with some pretty crazy stats about engagement over the past eight days.
Surprisingly (or not surprisingly, depending on how you look at it), a photoshopped photo of Ellen Degeneres walking the Betsey Johnson runway show was the most liked photo of the week. It was followed by much more serious posts from Forever 21 and Victoria's Secret.
Overall, more than 115,000 images were shared over the course of New York Fashion Week, generating more than 10.8 million total engagements (likes and comments). That's an increase of over 100% compared to the total number of engagements in February, based on the same hashtags that were used in both seasons.
