Launches & Releases: Dear Fieldbinder Debuts Fieldbinder

Sitting a Martin Margiela wallet toss away from Bird in Brooklyn, shop Dear Fieldbinder has always seemed (to us at least) to be the bookish older sister of the Smith Street shopping row. Perhaps that's due to owner Lara Fieldbinder, whose thick-framed glasses and resume (past employment included a stint at the Guggenheim) convey braininess. Or maybe it's just the clothing: sometimes prim and proper, sometimes girly, but always utilitarian and never overly revealing. Long story short: Fieldbinder is now selling her own eponymous house line. The pieces, which exemplify everything we love about the boutique, range in price from $145 for a denim pencil skirt to $296 for a dress.
