The surprisingly under-blogged-about collaboration between designer Pierre Hardy and Gap may be available very soon. Fashion Herald: "I've been harassing my friends at Gap on 34th and they think the Pierre Hardy shoes will be coming in a few weeks. 1-800-GapStyle is less confident; the party line is end of February. But my Gap kids feel confident 34th Street will be the first to get the collection because 'we're the biggest store.' 75 select stores will carry the line, so big or small, I'm just happy that 34th Street is getting the Pierre Hardy collection for spring..." The Gap's decided to let Americans have a go at what Europeans have been enjoying for months: the budget-priced shoe collection that Pierre Hardy's designed for the mass retailer. The line will be available in stateside Gap stores this spring. As for what to expect, "Hardy, known for his sculptural sky-high stilettos under his eight-year-old signature label, as well as those he designed for edgy brands such as Balenciaga, adopted Gap's casual aesthetic in creating the collection. The spring line includes a wooden wedge sandal with an ankle strap in printed fabrics and a chambray. There is also a strappy chunk-heel sandal and a flat, leather gladiator style.
