There is a new trend sweeping nail-art nation: A manicure in which the ring finger on each hand is painted differently than the rest of the manicure. Not surprisingly, it's a super popular look with newly engaged women and brides, as it draws attention to their new bauble. But it's also rampant among single gals—the problem is, no one seems to know what to call it.
StyleBistro recently wrote about the "cocktail manicure," which is designed to call attention to the nails that are most visible when you're clutching a mojito. At London's beloved Wah Nails salon, where they charge by the nail, it's common for customers to get some detailed nails and some plain ones, which Wah calls a "mix and match" manicure.
But is that really exciting enough for a nail trend we're going to be seeing everywhere? Take a look at a few examples, and then give us your suggestions after the jump.
