As we gear up for Isabel Marant pour H&M on Thursday (a day before payday for a lot of people, mind you), many spending-savvy shoppers are evaluating prices and creating budgets to make sure their bank accounts can handle the items. And for good reason. A jacket for $399, a cardigan for $149, or pants for $129 aren't light purchases for a lot of H&M customers, especially knowing that it's easy to get swept up in the hoopla.
International shopping app Stylight ran the numbers on each collaboration at H&M so far, discovering that the average cost of Isabel Marant pour H&M—determined by averaging the price of each piece—is $169.33 (converted from British pounds). The most expensive collab average was last year's Margiela collection at $225.71. Other collections more expensive than Marant's include Matthew Williamson ($179.58), Lanvin ($205.69), Commes des Garcons ($179.58), and Roberto Cavalli ($175.58). None of these a children's line, which is important for these calculations. The significantly lower-priced goods for kids most likely drove down the overall price of the goods. Also, those T-shirts. So many wonderful, under-$40 tees.
