Madewell is bringing their twentysomething back to New York City for fall. The J. Crew-owned brand took the opportunity to relax its proportions, with jeans trending looser, waists going higher, and tops cropping off. The palette went darker for the season, and an element of urban protection was introduced with coated outwear (an appropriate update on their perennial moto and military jackets).
Shoes, too, took a tougher turn, with motorcycle details and chunky, substantial heels in no-nonsense black and warm brown hues. Click through for our exclusive photos, and maybe some styling inspiration to bridge the gap 'til summer.
